  1. Free Fallin’ – Tom Petty
    – Tom Petty was an amazing musician. In honor of his death on October 2nd, 2017, this song absolutely qualifies for the October playlist. With its groovy tunes and feelings of nostalgia, Petty’s “Free Fallin’” has everyone fallin’ for Fall.
  2. October Nights – Yellowcard
    – When craving some punk tunes in your playlist this October, this song certainly suffices. This song is great for playing in the car whilst riding around during those October nights that Yellowcard describes.
  3. Somebody’s Watching Me – Rockwell
    – A song that wonderfully sets the perfect Halloween mood. Rockwell’s 1984 hit is not only a spectacular Halloween song, but takes us back a few years as well.
  4. This is Halloween – Danny Elfman.               – From Tim Burton’s, “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” this song is a classic Halloween bop every family should know! What other time of year is it acceptable to sing about ghosts and ghouls?

    – The rhythm of this song warms our hearts with every note played. There is no better way to end October than with the soothing optimism this song brings.
  6. Wake Me Up When September Ends – Green Day
    – Although somewhat solemn, this song is an amazing way to welcome October and say all of your goodbyes to the warm weather September takes with it when it leaves.
  7. I Want Candy – Bow Wow Wow
    – This song reminds us perfectly of what October is really about — Halloween and getting tons of candy to gorge later that night of the creepy 31st.
  8. Autumn Leaves – Ed Sheeran
    – In more of a pop mood? Well, Ed Sheeran has a song for everything your heart desires, so of course his beautiful song “Autumn Leaves” should be on your playlist this October.

    – Coldplay’s “Yellow” is an amazing song reminding us of the warm colors and yellow leaves of October, along with the cool nights and stars of clear October nights.

– Although nearly 34 years old, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” remains a classic Halloween jam that sends chills down our spines and a groove in our shoes. It’s always been a top hit this time of year, and is an amazing song to play when you want to dance Halloween night away.
