The New Hue, a band organized by three Barren County High School students, will have a concert at The Front Porch pub and coffee shop this evening. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., according
to a poster placed in the school.
The trio consists of juniors Kyle Rannells, Kody Sanders and Jacob Smith. The three have been recording an EP, a type of release that is more than a single, yet short of a whole album.
“We’re just coming back,” Rannells said in a direct message from the band’s Instagram. “We haven’t performed or posted on our social media recently because we’ve been recording our EP.”
The group plans to reveal songs that will be on the EP.
Though Rannells did not specify when the EP would be released, he said “it will be soon.”
Recording music and performing are two of the group’s goals as they progress toward making a greater presence in the community.
“We will be doing live performances frequently,” Rannells said.
The band can be reached at the handle @the_newhue on Instagram and Twitter.
The Front Porch is located at 1004 Mammoth Cave road in Cave City, KY.
